"It's not wrong to dream... sometimes you wish you were living in it..."
Chapter 2
Eric just wandered along the stretch, looking at all the decorations that was outside the shopping malls. 'Maybe this Christmas i should buy something nice for myself' he thought. He walked along Meyers and looked at the nice Hugo suit that was displayed at the window. That interest him and he went in to take a look.
"Bonjour..How much for the nice suit by the window?"
"It is on sale Sir. Going for 400euros" replied the nice sales assistant.
The price was reasonable and he thought awhile about it.
"Why don't you give it a try? I am sure it will fit pretty well on you." as the sales assistant gave him a huge smile.
Eric has never been a good shopper. When he see something that he likes he will think about it for very long before he make his decision.
He paused and thought for awhile and told the sales assiatant some other time. He hesitated and finally made up his mind. "Not today, i think i will consider it for awhile." He gave a nice smile back to the sales assistant and walked away.
He walked out of Meyer and continued his way back home. The weather was getting colder as the snow starts to drop more. The streets were turning white from the snow and the traffic was heavy. He hurried to the bus stop as the crowd followed behind him. The bus stop was packed with people. All chatting away with their big shopping bags. The bus arrived and the people around him start to squeeze up the bus. There was no way he could squeeze with those people up the bus. Even if he did he would be squashed up like a sardine in a can. He waited for while and more people were at the queue. He looked around thinking he could flag a taxi back but it was all the same. The shopping malls were closing and the crowd were trying to catch their transport home. The bus stop was packed and even the taxi queue was long. At this state Eric will never make it home. After all that he saw he might as well walk home.

Sometimes its just hard. Sometimes you just want things to go your way. That's what Eric thought for a very long time. He misses being close to someone. He felt envy of those who walked by, hugging and holding each other.
"How nice it is to be in love again.." He had lost someone long ago and never had he been together with someone else since. All he wanted is to dream of his own fairytale. Making up his own world and scenes with his dream girl.
"Maybe it is coming to an end. Since things are already becoming so quiet between us. We are not being as close to each other anymore. You can't expect me to work things out alone if you are not going to do the same. What once we had is now fading... ..." Those words kept on repeating in his head. He can no longer hold back the memories of his previous relationship and started tearing. He had a nice girlfriend who both shared beautiful times together. Things change, seasons change and so does people. One started to drift away from another and things are just not the same anymore. Eric was accpeting the change a step at a time but he was not happy about it. He tried very hard to work things out between them but the other was not wiling to do the same. No more fuel to burn the fire and the flame just slowly extinguished. They went their separate ways. Eric moved to Paris to start a new life. He knew there was no point in staying anymore. Running away was his only escape route from misery.
His walk home was becoming longer and longer. The road looks endless and his footsteps was smaller and smaller. His had too many things on his mind already. Why the depression on a festive mood? It's the holidays and everyone should be happy. Eric wanted to be happy. He forced a smile on his face as he continued walking.
"Oi Mister!"
Eric was shocked at the loud noise.
"Mister!"
There is goes again. He looked around and was surprised to find himself walking along a dark alley. He did not recognise this route. He might have taken a wrong turn back at the junction. Too many thoughts. He saw a man waving at him and he walked towards him.
